At its core, a funeral is a ceremony held in connection with the burial or cremation of a deceased person. It involves a series of rituals that may include a wake or viewing, a formal service, and the final disposition of the body. 

Whilst funerals are deeply rooted in tradition, they can vary significantly depending on cultural, religious, and personal preferences. And there are plenty of different ways to honour your loved one.
